WHAT IS TELESONIC 9000?
telesonic 9000 is a multimedia project led by american drummer Dominick Gray. equal parts musical act and audiovisual experiment, it combines genre-bending songs with stylized archive film footage, creating a kinetic synchronization of computer-era imagery, art rock, spoken word clips, and space-age sound effects. while essentially a solo endeavor, the project serves as an outlet for Gray to collaborate with a diverse variety of musicians (including a full band for live concerts) and artists.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
presented live in concert, at film screenings, or in home media, the telesonic 9000 music-films create a self-reflective retro-futurist framework to explore concepts that tie the past to the future and create a visceral audiovisual experience. the live shows operate as a "film concert", with large scale projections accompanying solo drumming and electronic music.

WHO IS BEHIND TELESONIC 9000, AND HOW DID IT BEGIN?
telesonic 9000 was formed in Berlin, Germany by American drummer Dominick Gray in 2015. Initially devised as a way to perform original music in concert as a solo drummer, Dominick experimented with editing public domain archive films to his songs and eventually assembled a 35-minute set which incorporated live drumming, electronic music, and video projection. the show was expanded upon via subsequent tours in Europe, the US, and Asia.
